Between Heaven and Earth - 2009 Company Premiere
In The Company News
H.T. Chen’s newest work, Between Heaven and Earth, is a collaboration with Orchestra of St. Luke’s, America’s foremost chamber orchestra. This suite of dances is inspired by the evocative scores of Chen Yi and Zhou Long. Like the many pieces of music, each dance is a unique and distinct choreographic creation. When strung together, the sections have the power to create a dream-like scenario of watching cloud formations change from warriors, to celestial beings, to images of nature.
H.T. Chen & Dancers premiere was presented in New York City as part of the Orchestra of St. Luke’s educational outreach program March 19-25 at Colden Center, Queens College (CUNY) and M.S. 131 in Manhattan.
