Event Description:
Come and enjoy a delightful evening with family and friends in a unique teahouse setting at this year’s Teahouse Performances series.  Located in one of the last remaining ethnic neighborhoods in NYC, Chen Dance Center invites you to participate in authentic traditions, experience untold stories, and explore the vivacious community of Chinatown.  Prior to the show, immerse yourself in Chinese culture with a reception and pre-show activities then delight in the moving choreography of H.T. Chen and live traditional music while enjoying plum wine and delicious moon cakes.  A semi-annual show celebrating its third year, this program has become a true crowd favorite.  This series will take audiences deep into the wildly playful, delightful, satirical and political imaginings of choreographer H.T. Chen, who touches on many current issues facing our community and nation at large.  The evening promises to be one of enrichment and delight!
